The Construction of a Tessellation (6-12)

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Conference attendees will participate in the actual creation of an individual tessellation while utilizing constructions.

Participants will gain a practical understanding of questioning techniques, the incorporation of art and history, and the main premise that multiple standards can be addressed through the use of one rich mathematical activity and task.

Though the mathematical activity and resulting tasks are geared toward teachers needing to address standards found in Secondary Math I and II, teachers of the following grades will find that the material can also be adapted for age-appropriate use:

6th, 7th, 8th, Secondary Math III
